Product Description


1. Description:
The roller is divided into cold roller and hot roller for producing aluminum rod and copper rod.

Material of common cold roller: 9Cr, 9Cr2, 9Crv, 8CrMoV, etc. The cold roller is quenched on surface. The hardness is from HS45 to HS105.

Material of common hot roller: 55Mn2,55Cr,60CrMnMo,60SiMnMo, etc. The hot roller is only normalized or quenched as a whole. The hardness is from HB190 to HB270.

4. Testing:
The hardness of roller is an indirect physical value, which is affected by the internal structure of the roller, such as the matrix hardness of the roller material, the type and quantity of carbides in the roller material, the residual stress of the roller and so on. At the same time, due to the Shaws and Richter hardness tests commonly used in roller hardness testing are rebound hardness tests, they are greatly affected by the state of testing instruments, psychological factors of operators and other factors. Thus both the roller manufacturer and users, which requires a specialist to test the hardness. In addition,  pay attention to the selection of sclerometer, and other hardness contrast relationship should be stable. Meanwhile pay attention to the regular inspection and standardize the sclerometer and reference block.
